Backgrounf of the Organization
The idea of establishing Menya Iwacu, as a community-based organization, was initiated by Congolese young generation, mainly composed of asylum seekers across the globe.
Initiators accordingly felt accountable to overcome challenges facing the Eastern DR of Congo including; ongoing atrocities, bad ideologies that kept on being spread out, and an increasing number of asylum seekers flowing outside the country. As it is a problem closely linked to the history of the whole region especially implicating ethnicity and discrimination aspects, in case there is no adequate intervention, still inhabitants are exposed to worsened situation.
Therefore, founders came up with an intervention, by contributing not only towards press (newsworthiness) but also airing relevant programs necessary for the sustainable peace building and social economic welfare in the great lakes region and Eastern DR Congo specifically.
Our Objectives
- To contribute towards sustainable peace building in the great lake region especially in the Eastern DR of Congo by broadcasting newsworthy information and airing relevant programs.
- To promote social and economic welfare for the strong civil society in the Eastern DR of Congo.
- To safeguard Congolese cultural values.
- To preserve archives regarding historical events taken place specifically in the DR of Congo, especially Eastern DR of Congo.
- To reinforce Congolese global network

Arrière-Plan de l’Organisation
L’idée d’établir Menya Iwacu, comme un organisme communautaire, a été initiée par congolaise jeune génération, composée principalement des demandeurs d’asile à travers le monde.
Initiateurs en conséquence estimé responsable de surmonter les défis auxquels est confronté le DR de l’Est du Congo, y compris; atrocités en cours, les mauvaises idéologies qui ont gardé sur être étalé, et un nombre croissant de demandeurs d’asile circulant en dehors du pays. Comme il est un problème étroitement lié à l’histoire de toute la région, en particulier impliquant l’appartenance ethnique et de discrimination aspects, dans le cas où il n’y a pas une intervention adéquate, les habitants sont encore exposés à la situation a empiré.
Par conséquent, les fondateurs sont venus avec une intervention, en contribuant non seulement à la presse (newsworthiness), mais également à diffuser des programmes pertinents à la construction de la paix durable et le bien-être économique et social dans la région des grands lacs et Est de la RD Congo en particulier.
Nos objectifs
- Pour contribuer à l’édification d’une paix durable dans la région des grands lacs en particulier dans le DR de l’Est du Congo en diffusant des informations dignes d’intérêt et à diffuser des programmes pertinents.
- Afin de promouvoir le bien-être social et économique de la société civile forte dans le DR de l’Est du Congo.
- Pour sauvegarder les valeurs culturelles congolaises.
- Pour préserver les archives concernant des événements historiques survenus en particulier dans la République démocratique du Congo, en particulier DR Est du Congo.
- Pour renforcer le réseau mondial congolais
